City Clerk
Mrs. Beulah Williams is the City Clerk of Guyana capital City, Georgetown. This Social Sciences Major, who obtained her B.Sc. in Sociology, and Management, in 1998, began her professional career with the Mayor and City Council, in 1989. She is assertive, and a realistic optimist, who is results oriented.
In 1996, she was promoted to Deputy City Clerk, of the Council. One year later, her consistent performance, quiet grace, strong commitment and intellectual ability combined with her charm to earn her the honour of the appointment to the high post of City Clerk of Georgetown. She is the first female ever to hold such a post in the City.
Mrs. Beulah Williams has a strong sense of value for people, and cherishes, relationships with her staff, community, leaders, and other stakeholders within the municipality. She believes in a win-win strategy for the good progress of the municipality. Her commitment to the sustainable development of the environment is a core value, which influences her decisions on programmes and projects for the City.
She is widely read. And has a love for local and Caribbean talents, in the various art forms. She believes that, this can advance the process of Caribbean integration.
