Terms of Reference

Human Resources Management Committee

1. Monitors the implementation of the selection and recruitment system to ensure consistency in the application of the agreed procedures and criteria.

2. Develops an appreciation of the performance appraisal system to be instituted; monitors evaluates and reports on its efficacy.

3. Receives and reviews monthly Reports on vacancies, appointments, transfers, promotions and separations generally.

4. Ensures agreed policy on the employment of superannuated employees is consistently observed.

5. Monitors the application of the disciplinary procedure to be instituted.

6. Receives and reviews monthly reports on absenteeism, with particular attention to sick leave.

7. Reviews annual work plans of the Human Resource development and monitors monthly progress reports on implementation

8. Reviews recommendations for training and other development activities for staff and ensures that these reconcile with recommendation emanating from Performance Appraisal Reports.

9. Receives and reviews monthly reports on overtime worked

10. Generally serves as a Review Committee in accordance with procedures lay down in the Human Resource manual.
