Terms of reference

1. Monitor reports on the maintenance and development of Gardens, Parks, Playgrounds, Avenues and Bandstand, where these are operational.
2. Periodically review manning levels with special attention to “at risk” employees and superannuated employees.
3. Reviews the status of employees on the unfixed establishment and specifically their eligibility for superannuation benefits, and advise accordingly.
4. Monitors the operation of the Maternity and Child Welfare Service to ensure that services provided satisfy the targeted clients.
5. Monitors and compares performance of respective Day Care Centres and identifies areas for improvement.
6. Pay periodic visits to operational sites and comment on working conditions and employees’ concerns.
7. Oversee the co-ordination of cultural activities and sports in the Mayor and City Council and make recommendations appropriately.
